In the more than 30 years since it was founded, Westover Fine Arts has completed numerous projects for corporate, private, and institutional clients. The projects described below have been selected to reflect the breadth and depth of the firm's expertise. Private Residence

Locust Valley, New York

Westover curated and acquired a notable collection of 19th Century American Art to complement an exceptional collection of American Furniture. Works selected were by Bodmer, Bierstadt, Hicks, Johnson, Fitz Hugh Lane, Moran, and Sully.

Pied-a-Terre

Manhattan, New York

Westover curated and acquired a collection of Contemporary Figurative Paintings. The collection included works by Catherine Murphy, Alan Feltus, Rackstraw Downes, Neil Jenny, Robert Bechtle, and Robert Borremans.

Winter Residence

Hobe Sound, Florida

Westover curated and acquired an important collection of Modern and Contemporary Art for a private collector's beautifully restored Art Deco home in Hobe Sound, Florida. The collection includes works of art by Modern Masters such as Kandinsky, De Kooning, Hans Hoffman, Motherwell, Noguchi, Calder, Maillol, Lipchitz, Reinhardt and Baziotes.

American Modernists include Marin and Ferren. Contemporary works were by Brooks, Feltus, Fonseca, Helen Wilson, Susan Hartnett, Innerest, Jensen, Joan Mitchell, and Betty Woodman. Additional works acquired were by the Highwaymen, African American artists active in Florida, and their mentor, Bean Backus, a regional painter of Florida scenes. Also included were Outsider Paintings by Earl Cunningham, an artist known for his paintings of the Florida landscape, who recently enjoyed a retrospective at the Smithsonian Museum.

Private 19th Century Photography Collection

Chevy Chase, Maryland

Westover was retained to research, curate, and acquire a collection of very rare 19th Century Photographs by the American photographer, J. B. Greene. Working closely with the late dealer, Harry Lunn, Westover acquired over time a portfolio of 25 rare photographs by Greene, which were placed on extended loan at the MOMA and later donated as a gift to the museum. This collection represented more than a third of all photographs known to be extant by Greene.

Westover curated a collection of American Photography. Photographers represented included Callahan, Adams, Friedlander, Winogrand, Papageorge, Gowin, Pfahl, Nixon, Wessel, Eggleston, Perkis, Baltz, Maloney, Connor, McDonough, Schrager, Devine, Mertin, and Shore.
